Lexington: Ixtapa Cantina
Let's Eat by Kitty Kaufman, photo by Glynnis Grieco-Waters

Someone is drinking something blue. It's a margarita enhanced with blue Curaçao and they are popular. Margaritas are the drinks of choice: there's your regular, your Cadillac with Grand Marnier, el presidente with Cointreau, and the ultimate which also has Cointreau, which leaves me confused. El presidente comes with a mystery ingredient "a little something we think you’ll enjoy" which is still a mystery because we didn't have one. We are not fond of mysteries in our cocktails. Still. Beer is icy cold, just the way we like it.

You can be more adventurous: there are quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, soups, salads, kid meals, seafood, sandwiches, vegetarian plates and tacos (which sadly are not on the dinner menu). Most things come with good guacamole, good sour cream, beans and rice. We think it's a cool place with an emphasis on fresh. You'll find them in Woburn, Lunenburg and Groton.
