Global Warming? All my fault.

Bully for You!

Shop Talk by Kitty Kaufman

Of course, the government's tweeting about bullies: @StopBullyingNow and they've got a bunch of web pages for kids: The Fed on Bullies. Google has four million references on the subject of bullies and 23 million if you want to read what everyone else has to say about "bully."

That's how I found out that in San Diego you can eat at a place called Bully's which opened in the '70s. I did a little research and it turns out the owner's name is Bullington. They're no slouches when it comes to self-promotion. The website raves about the restaurant's "overnight success," prime rib "cooked to your individual taste," and how they innovated late night dining by having food available until 12:15 am. Seriously, in San Diego this is still a big deal?

Maybe they all start out the same though it's hard to know for sure. Bullying, or social aggression (a mere 100,000 references) is on the road, at work, on the phone, even around the table at dinner parties. And like Meg Ryan lamenting her inability to come up with a snappy rejoinder to Tom Hanks in "You've got Mail," whatever I did say, although Tom wasn't there and if he had been, would it still be all my fault, including global warming?

When you're trying to collect money as in paycheck, it's all your fault that you are even asking where the check is and yes, you are to blame for global warming.

Nitwits are a lot less commonplace . . . a mere 350,000 Google results. If nothing else, this has been an excellent learning experience. Whenever I have to decide if mean girls are being stupid or evil, I always go with stupid.
